Even footballers have started taking out bad credit loans

The sporting chance clinic have said that highly-paid footballers are now taking out bad credit loans in order to consolidate the large amounts of debt that they are accumulating. The charity, founded by former Arsenal and England defender Tony Adams, has stated that footballers are falling into large amounts of debt due to a number of reasons, including gambling.

This may come as a huge surprise to many who may think that because footballers are on such incredibly high wages, they won’t fall into the trap of debt. This isn’t the case as many footballers over the years have had to declare themselves bankrupt, including former Liverpool footballer and champions league winner John Arne Riise who declared himself bankrupt in 2007. So, are bad credit loans a good idea for footballers?

Bad credit loans offer many people the chance to get the money they need even if they have been told they have a bad credit history. For footballers, there could be a big problem with bad credit as many lenders may see them as ‘irresponsible’ and in some cases ‘highly geared’, meaning they owe lots of money to lots of lenders for a wide variety of things.

Like footballers, you may also benefit from being able to get the finance you need even if you have a poor credit score.
